Erenay YALÇIN participated in a research visit conducted between 16 and 30 March 2026 within the framework of the NEPHEWS Twinning Programme. During this period, he received hands-on training in thin-film fabrication and ultrafast magnetic measurement techniques.

Throughout the training, the participant gained practical experience in thin-film deposition using the magnetron sputtering technique, with a particular focus on critical parameters such as vacuum systems, plasma generation, and film thickness control.
In addition, the participant was trained in the setup and operation of the Time-Resolved Magneto-Optical Kerr Effect (TR-MOKE) experimental system. In this context, the training covered the following key components:
• operating principles of the pump–probe laser system,
• beam splitting, delay line operation, and optical alignment procedures,
• polarization analysis and signal detection techniques.
The training activities were conducted under the supervision and active guidance of experienced researchers at the host institution, namely Prof. Dr. H. Gül YAĞLIOĞLU, Prof. Dr. Eyüp DUMAN, Prof. Dr. Burak BİLKİ, and Dr. F. Gülşah AKÇA.

By the end of the programme, the participant had not only actively contributed to the experimental work but also developed practical proficiency in selected experimental techniques at TARLA. The programme significantly enhanced the participant’s ability to utilize advanced research infrastructure and contributed to his experience in an international research environment, as well as to the development of his scientific communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
