We are pleased to announce that the SOLARIS Centre hosted its first scientist, who joined the NEPHEWS Twinning Program!
Ms. Małgorzata Palusińska, PhD. , joined the research team led by Ms. Magdalena Pypka, MSc, from the Faculty of Biology at University of Warsaw. Using the POLYX beamline, the team analyzed plant material samples to study zinc and iron concentrations in roots, aiming to identify mechanisms by which roots respond to zinc sources in soil.
The NEPHEWS project, led by the SOLARIS Centre connects photon and neutron research infrastructures, supporting over 40,000 scientists. The project provides access to world-class research facilities across Europe. Key activities include:
✅ 38,290 hours of research time for experienced users under the TNA Program,
✅ The Twinning Program – collaboration between new and experienced scientists,
✅ The ESR Program – internships and training for early-stage researchers.
