We are pleased to announce the completion of the evaluation of the „Expressions of Interest” (EoI) received as part of the selection process for seven targeted countries and Ukraine.
User communities from 13 countries submitted EOIs. The Evaluation Committee selected the top-rated countries based on transparent criteria and impartiality. The seven top-rated countries, along with Ukraine (which had a guaranteed place), will receive priority access and additional support through NEPHEWS to help build the neutron and photon user communities in their regions.
These opportunities include knowledge sharing, education, and training. The NEPHEWS project will support national user communities in policy dialogue with their National Funding Agencies (NFAs) concerning access mechanisms, aiming for sustainable access.
Selected countries will receive specific support from the NEPHEWS project due to our direct involvement in community building, our commitment to NEPHEWS outreach activities, and the dissemination of information on NEPHEWS opportunities. The goal is to collaborate, promote national policy initiatives, and support policy dialogues with NFAs regarding future project-funded access.
