From December 2nd to 4th the 1st Supervisory Board meeting of the NEPHEWS project took place at the SOLARIS Center where delegates of the European Synchrotron and Free Electron Laser User Organisation (ESUO) and the European Neutron Scattering Association (ENSA) get together with representatives of the League of European Accelerator-based Photon Sources (LEAPS) and the League of Advanced European Neutron Sources (LENS) to bring up recommendations for following year of successful NEPHEWS implementation.
During the meeting, an overview of NEPHEWS was presented. A discussion around the progress of User-dedicated programmes, data collection and analysis, together with project dissemination activities was conducted.
At the end of the meeting, the preliminary recommendations for the upcoming year were presented by the Supervisory Board Chair.
This productive meeting showed that the collaboration of the two largest User Organizations together with the two largest consortia of photon and neutron sources within the NEPHEWS project can advance science by improving current knowledge.
We look forward to the 2nd Supervisory Board meeting next year!
